9 Minerals for your Thyroid

Hello my dear friend,

For years it has been believed that iodine was the master mineral for the thyroid. But, within the past several years, research has shown that there are multiple minerals involved with thyroid hormone production.

Before we discuss the minerals, here are some symptoms that indicate your thyroid might be needing some support.

Tiredness

Cold Sensitivity

Weight Gain

Constipation

Depression

Brain Fog

Muscle Aches/Weakness

Muscle Cramping

Do you want a happy healthy thyroid?

If your answer is yes, you need these 9 essential minerals for your thyroid to work properly. Not only are these specific minerals important but how they are combined is significant to achieve optimal thyroid function.

1- IODINE T3 has 3 iodine molecules, T4 has 4. So, it is safe to say that the thyroid cannot function without iodine.

2- SELENIUM This helps the production of T4 and also converts T4 to T3. Selenium is necessary for thyroid function and if you take iodine without selenium, you can end up with a selenium deficiency. If you take selenium without iodine, you can cause an iodine deficiency.

3- ZINC A zinc deficiency can result in hypothyroidism. Thyroid hormones are essential for the absorption of zinc. If hair loss is one of your hypothyroid symptoms, it may not improve unless zinc is added.

4- MOLYBDENUM This helps release T3 from the thyroid gland, and it helps break down yeast toxins.

5- BORON Helps the conversion of T4 to T3.

6- COPPER Aids in the metabolism of the amino acid tyrosine, which is a precursor to T4.

7- CHROMIUM Plays a major role in insulin release and its effects on carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolism. Conversion of T4 to T3 is influenced by insulin, so in a roundabout way, chromium helps this conversion.

8- MANGANESE Transports the hormone thyroxine into our cells.

9- MAGNESIUM Calcium and magnesium must be balanced for proper thyroid function. If there is too much calcium, thyroid hormones can become diminished. Magnesium is the regulator of calcium absorption and utilization.

The best mineral product is the one that you can absorb and utilize. I have been using the supplement ReMyte from the company RnA Reset. It is an ionized mineral product that has these 9 minerals in it. A small dose of this and I know that my thyroid is getting all the nutrition it needs to function its best.

Thank you, Dr. Carolyn Dean, for your information, research and your wonderful supplement.

Have a wonderful week.

Much love and gratitude! Janalee
