Cracks of Life

Hello my dear friend,

This is usually book review day. However, I heard a quote that I need to share with you. It is “God comes to us in the cracks of life.”

Well, what exactly does that mean?

It means He comes when we least expect it. He appears just to let us know He is here, always here for us!

I am the type of person that likes all my ducks to be in a row, or you could say, I like control. So planning when I want to spend time with God is great! I believe it is even better when He shows up when I least expect it!

For me, these are some “cracks” that I find and see God:

A smile from a stranger in the grocery store, or a door held open for me.

A flower growing in the crack of a driveway.

A beautiful sunset, or even better, a pink sunrise!

The buds on a tree after a long cold winter.

Ice cold juicy sweet watermelon.

Fresh sweet tomatoes.

Homemade jam on toast with butter.

Contact from a friend.

A compliment.

A flower garden.

A beautiful song that speaks to my soul.

Cool nights and warm days.

A day that goes as planned.

A good night’s sleep.

Someone changing lanes so I can pull out into traffic.

Cold water from the hose over my feet in warm grass or on hot cement.

These are just a few of so many ways God shows me He is in my life and He really wants me to be happy and experience JOY!

And the best part? Now that I am aware and I am looking for them, more and more keep showing up.

This next week, take moments to look for the “cracks in your life” where you find God!

I hope you have as much fun as I am!

With much love and gratitude! Janalee
