Make Room for What Matters!

YesNoStickies

Hello dear friends-

I recently read this fun article written by Connie Riet about 9 things to easily let go of called Saying No to Things and Making Room for What Matters. I decided it was worth sharing with all of you. I hope it will bring some value into your life.

We all have limited time and energy to expend each day. Prioritizing what is most important and saying no to the rest opens up time for what matters.

1- You don’t need to do it all

Do what you can, be grateful for what you did.

2- Stop caring about others’ opinions of you

You have heard the phrase, “what other people think about you is none of your business.” Remember this. It does not matter what they think, it only matters what you think of you!

3- Say no to news

The news is very negative. Replace it with something more uplifting and positive.

4- Stop worrying

You can’t worry enough to change anything. Focus on the moment you are in and look for the joy.

5-Give up the fear of missing out

When you are focused on others’ lives (social media), you are missing out on the beauty of your own life.

6- Let go of the need to be right

Letting go of being right will add to more peace in your relationships and peace of mind.

7- Stay away from negative people

Be intentional about who you share your energy with because energy is contagious! Life is a precious gift and share it with those who are optimistic and joyful.

8- Embrace your age

Say no to trying to look 25 forever. Embrace how you look, love all aspects of yourself. Along with wrinkles and silvering hair, you have gained wisdom and experience and the gift of growing old.

9- Keep chaos out

Strive for a calm and peaceful life. A busy life does not have to be chaotic. Keep your home tidy, treat others with kindness. Having love and light in the world begins with each of us.

I hope this has given you some ideas on how to let go of certain things and have more time to do what matters most to you.

With love, joy, and gratitude!

Janalee
