How To Eat Chocolate To Boost Your Metabolism

eat chocolate

Hello dear friends,

How would you like to be able to eat chocolate and boost your metabolism? Yes!!  You did read that correctly. I am going to share with you a study that was done on this very subject with very fun results. This article was written by Dr. Laura Koniver.

This study had participants either eating chocolate within one hour of waking or an hour before bed. Not both. It does not matter what kind of chocolate; milk or dark, and up to 3/4 cup or 3.5 oz. The participants were instructed to eat freely the rest of the day as they normally would.

After 2 weeks, these were the results:

Eating Chocolate in the morning participants

-naturally decreased calorie intake an average of 300 kcal/day

-had decreased hunger and desire for sweets

-had a reduced waist circumference of about 2%

-had 26% higher oxidation of fat (fat burning)

-had slightly lower fasting glucose levels

Eating Chocolate in the evening participants

-naturally decreased calorie intake an average of 100 kcal/day

-had decreased hunger and desire for sweets

-had 35% higher carbohydrate oxidation (carb burning)

-increased their daily activity level by 7%

-had more regular sleep patterns

Also eating chocolate every day for 2 weeks did not make either group gain any weight.

So all you chocolate lovers out there, you get permission to eat chocolate ONCE a day depending on the results you would like, or just for your pure enjoyment.

With love, gratitude, AND chocolate!
Janalee
