Open Your Heart Chakra

I am worthy to be loved. This mantra, one of many, gives focus to the Heart chakra that is found in the region of the heart. It is the center for learning to forgive, moving on, treating others with compassion and helping heal and care for the rest of the chakras.

This chakra is at the pivotal location of connecting the three lower chakras or the chakras of matter and/or physical, and the three upper chakras, or the chakras of spirituality and/or energy. When this chakra is open, you can feel love and joy for no apparent reason. You can easily be grateful for all those things that make yours a wonderful life and you can have compassion for yourself and readily give it to others around you.

The Heart Chakra can be associated with Friday. “The joy and love that often comes with Fridays align beautifully with the Heart Chakra. It’s a day to embrace love, compassion, and healing. Share time with loved ones, practice self-love, and radiate positivity.” (ByHealing throughVisions.com)

“Working with your heart chakra may be the very first place you start with your chakra work. If you are stuck in the old survival energy of the lower three chakras, activating the new energy of your heart chakra will awaken you faster than working with any other single chakra. In other words, you may be stuck in fear or live in what I call a “prevention” lifestyle (trying to prevent bad things from happening, rather than creating what you want). If that’s the case for you, activating your heart energy will open your connection to your higher chakras where the energy of love, truth, higher knowing, and divine support can all feed you on a daily basis. The energy of the upper three chakras (our voice, our insight, and our divine connection) move through the bridge of the heart chakra to feed the lower chakras and turn on the new energy that is available to us in those energy centers.” (Carol Tuttle, The Modern Chakra Guide, p. 158).

Getting in touch with the energy of our chakras, helps us connect more fully with ourselves and those around us. We can learn how to heal ourselves on all levels, creating a true holistic healing. As with all change, healing and opening our chakras takes time and patience so let us be gentle and compassionate with ourselves as we strive towards a holistic healing.

May you continue to find JOY in your journey.
